Injury update on three Red Mill defenders

With the focus now on Manchester United’s huge Emirates FA Cup quarter-final clash with Liverpool on Sunday, there are also questions over the player’s availability as Erik ten Hag finished the competition on his way to the top four.

First, Lisandro Martinez is now set to return from a knee injury. Not but adding to the Argentina squad in the US. The defender will continue the final steps of his rehabilitation. Only then will he not be seen in the matches against El Salvador and Costa Rica.

It has been decided. Tara Lisandro will benefit from training with his international colleagues as he regains fitness instead of staying at Carrington, where a number of players will be training next week.

Gareth Southgate’s side Brazil prepare to face Belgium and Harry Maguire has been named in the England squad.

Our No.5 was out of action after the home match with Fulham, when he scored in a 2-1 loss. He is close to recovery, awaiting a press conference in The Hague later, to find out if he has any chance of facing the Merseysiders this weekend.

Here’s why Jonny Evans hasn’t been called up for Northern Ireland, as they face Romania and Scott McTomin’s Scotland.

The highly experienced centre-back has had a minor problem over the last few matches and as a result, his playing time has been managed very carefully.

It is in the interest of both club and country that he has plenty of rest to fully recover
